This is on one of my favorite blocks in Larchmont! Such a friendly block! I saw this yesterday which was actually the 3rd time in the last 12 years. The Airplane Style is fun with a big chunky porch and decent yard. The layout is a little funky; I feel I would change the way I use certain rooms. (the back reading room and nursery porch don’t make sense to me). I would also immediately change the newer wood floors to a darker stain and maybe move the planter boxes away from the front of the garage. The upstairs is light and bright and doesn’t feel very Craftman. House just needs a little love!
From The MLS: This beautifully restored Airplane Craftsman, located on a lovely tree-lined street in Larchmont Village, is truly a gem! The home exudes warmth and character, with period details including hardwood floors, beamed ceilings, built-ins, stained-glass, fabulous fixtures and hardware, and a large front porch. Sun-filled kitchen with breakfast area, ample counter and storage space. Two bedrooms and one and one-half baths down, master bedroom and bath upstairs. Updated kitchen and baths. Bright and airy sunroom off front bedroom. Office/playroom opens to porch and private, grassy backyard. Updates include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, new white oak hardwood floors. Bolted. One block away from Robert Burns Park.
