My house pick of the week in Hancock Park – August 3

        

This house probably is in my TOP 5 all time homes in the area over the last 13 years. 501 North Cahuenga Blvd., in LA (near Larchmont Village and Melrose) is a beautiful Mediterranean 5 bed, 5 bath and was artistically renovated over the last year. Mid-century architect, John Lautner, is credited with the family room addition making this house unique and stylish. This homes sits on a corner lot over-looking Wilshire Country Club and a block from The LA Tennis Club, where my daughters take swimming and tennis. I spent an hour and a half in this home yesterday and neither I, nor my 10 yo daughter wanted to leave. We could picture the parties and play dates we would have… She claimed the en-suite turquiose blue bedroom for herself.

    

We have several friends on this block & I have had my eye on this renovation for over a year and was extremely impressed. Open floor plan, lighting, paint colors. staging, finishes, indoor-outdoor living and neighborhood (great pocket of Hancock Park with only a few small quiet blocks) make this a nearly perfect home. Priced at $3.7, which seems a tad too high to me. Maybe. Open today and sending the hubby!
