#1 – 615 Seward Street #Hancock Park / $3.5M, 4 beds, 4 baths / 3428 SF on 7620 Lot
These both stood out on caravan this week. I was not expecting to like Seward as much as I did! It is a strange small block off busy Melrose with rare view of the golf course behind a chain link fence. Very cool, hip sexy style and I love ths use of black throughout.

#2 -5225 West 2nd Street #Hancock Park / $6m 7 beds, 6 baths / 5020 SF on 13,305 lot
This home is in a much better location with a bigger lot (rare for east/west streets) but almost twice as expensive. When I decided to feature it, I forgot it was $6m (started at an obnoxious $6.5m). Looking through the photos now, although this house has great bones, I am a little bored at all the white and very tired of this particular stager!
From MLS: Fabulous French Country Estate with lush landscaping on the best street in Hancock Park! Step through verdant gardens via a covered entry with Porte Cochere into a welcoming two-story grand entrance hall with wrap around stairway. High ceilings and generous volumes define a view to the great living room and adjoining family room both with fireplace and windows looking on to green scapes. Enter the elegant formal dining room with large french doors and views of the private backyard with sculpted topiary, and a sparkling saltwater pool cited in a gorgeous garden surrounded by Magnolia trees, gardenias, and tall hedges. Outside, a pergola shades a romantic exterior dining area with outdoor fireplace. Upstairs are four bedrooms, a lovely master with a luxurious bath and an extra large closet. Also featured are two bedrooms downstairs, and a one bedroom detached guest house. Listed by Thomas Glabman at Hilton and Hyland.
