When I looked at the history of this house over the last few years, I see it sold in July 2016 (see photos below) for $675k in less than a month and then again in December 2017 for $700k in less than a month as a new flip. So someone put in a lot of time and money and made no profit? Then sold it only to be knocked down, lot sub-divided and 2 modern homes built in its place. So, for $1.4m you can have a single-family new home with a garage and a front yard, but in 3-4 weeks, there will be another similar home for sale for probably a similar price in your backyard. These are not condos, not TICs, not single-family sub lots, just a property that was sub-divided with 2 new homes and a shared easement for a driveway. Density! Is this a new trend? (Somehow this property is in the 90004 Larchmont zip code so it is likely on the border of Silver Lake). I am not a huge fan of this architecture and the neighborhood is transitioning.
