I picked this house because it is PRE-FAB!! I am a little obessessed with prefab. Originally built/assembled by LA based Proto Homes. An article in Dwell talks about hybrid construction – part prefab, part site-built. They make all the walls in the factory and drop them at the site. In panelized construction, you then send in the electrician, plumber, and so on to install the wires, pipes, et cetera. They prefab the entire infrastructure system and drop it into the center as the ProtoCore. The house is "flexible" meaning the floor plan can change as your life changes.
